Vitiligo Camouflage Tattoo
Vitiligo camouflage—also known as cosmetic camouflage or skin tone tattooing—is a form of advanced micropigmentation designed to restore the appearance of even skin tone.
By carefully implanting custom-matched pigment into lighter areas of the skin, we’re able to blend patches seamlessly into your natural tone—helping reduce contrast and create a more balanced, natural look.
How It Works
Vitiligo camouflage follows the same technique as scar camouflage.
We use specialized pigments matched to your skin tone and layer them gradually over a series of sessions to create soft, natural blending.
The goal isn’t to “cover” your skin—it’s to restore visual balance so the lighter areas become far less noticeable.
What Can Be Treated
Vitiligo camouflage can be performed on:
-
Face
-
Hands
-
Arms & legs
-
Chest & torso
-
Around the lips or hairline
If it’s an area where pigment has been lost, there’s a good chance we can help improve its appearance.

A More Personal Note
For many people, vitiligo isn’t just about skin—it’s about confidence.
We’ve worked with clients who have spent years trying to cover patches or avoid certain lighting, clothing, or situations. This treatment is about giving you the option to feel more comfortable in your skin again.
What is Vitiligo?
Vitiligo is a skin condition where pigment-producing cells (melanocytes) stop functioning, leading to lighter or white patches on the skin.
These areas don’t feel any different—they simply lack pigment.
Vitiligo can also affect:
-
Hair (causing premature whitening)
-
Lips and inside of the mouth
-
Eyelashes or eyebrows
Who Gets Vitiligo?
-
Affects men and women equally
-
Can occur at any age (often before age 30)
-
More noticeable in darker skin tones
-
Considered an autoimmune condition
-
May be influenced by genetics, stress, or environmental factors
Common Signs
-
Patchy loss of skin color
-
Light or white areas on face, hands, or body
-
Premature graying of hair
-
Loss of pigment in lips or mucous membranes
Types of Vitiligo
-
Generalized – most common, appears symmetrically
-
Segmental – affects one side of the body
-
Localized (Focal) – limited to a few areas
-
Acrofacial – affects face, hands, and openings
-
Universal – widespread across the body
Is There a Cure?
There is no cure for vitiligo, and its progression can vary from person to person.
Some patches may return on their own, while others may spread over time.
